This is a new al frescorestaurantopened in Penang recently, situated off Burmah Road slightly opposite 1926Heritage Hotel and slightly away from Guan Apong. This restaurant features village concept dining under attap huts (pondok atap).
There is even a top tiered attap hut which gives you an elevated view of Burmah Road.
Walking into this restaurant feels like a walk in thekampongwhere the roofs are covered with dry leaves and vintage toolswhich had found its use for decorative purpose.
The layout and design indeed give you a feeling of going into traditional Malay kampongexcept for the cement floor and traffic noise outside. Food quality here is slightly above average, not to say the best but they do serve both oriental and western dishes.
